This car was built 2000-2001 as a replica of the Triumph 2.5 PI that ran at Bathurst 1970.
The 2.5 was preceded by the Triumph 2000 1963 which competed under our development 1990 - 2001.
The Triumph 2000 held the under 2 Litre class annual HTCAV trophy for the majority of that 10 year period.
Both cars are currently competing and participate at most HTCAV Historic race meetings; Phillip Island Classic 2/yy, Winton Historic 5/yy, Sandown Historic 11/yy.
